Objects of control

Object of control is one of the underlying system entities. It is the object that is controlled and managed by the device installed on it. This means that the object is a virtual analog of the connected device because current values and parameters scan by its sensors are displaying for every object.

The hardware functions of the control object, offered by one or another real-world device, increases through using of built external software modules of the platform. As a result, the parameters displayed in the platform eventually reflect the real-world parameters scan by the object, not the parameters of the device itself.

Any functions of the control object may be divided into two main classes:

  • collection of information (sensor network);
  • management of devices (control network).

In the platform, the objects of control have a virtual representation in the form of models. The models are used for data normalization, the building of automation scenarios, handling of telemetry data about the object, etc. The model must be assigned to each object.
