Features of the import function in RIC platform

The platform has mechanisms for importing and exporting key entities of your project such as automatons, models and objects.

This function allows you to download ready-made cases of other users of the platform, share your developments, know the opinion of the community about your ideas.
We will share our own experience and fill this repository with interesting projects and findings.

There are 2 ways to import an entity.

  1. Import from file – when creating a new entity, you need to attach the imported file from your computer.
  2. Import by link – you need to provide a link to the JSON file, for example, through the raw file view mode on github.

Important!

The automaton is closely related to the device model. When importing the automaton, you must select the device model. If you want to choose another model for your automaton, then pay attention to its parameters. The new device model may lack parameters, commands and events that are necessary for the operation of the automaton. In this case, the platform interface will point you to its problem areas.
